Hello All!
We are currently in the office managing our current projects and planning for a fall, 2018 on-the-ground trip to Burkina Faso. There is much work ahead of us on this trip. We will be setting out to accomplish the following: -To meet with community leaders in two of the villages we work with to discuss plans for 2018 projects, including the installation of two water wells, for which we are currently fundraising. -To meet with other organizations such as government agencies and other local nonprofits to expand our partnerships and funding opportunities. -To visit the students we are sponsoring for school, to hear of their progress and to document their stories. -To document with photo and video the lives and work of the people that CBF serves. -To deliver food to 4 villages and donated goods brought from the US. -To monitor, and document, and ensure the continued success of 2016 projects, such as the completion of the women's healing center building, village water purification projects, and the 2012 tractor donation. These trips are always packed with an intense amount of activity for us and the communities we work with so that the highest outcomes are achieved to best serve the communities. Please read about our projects on this site and reach out to connect if you can donate or support us in any way with our work! We will be sending updates to this site while we are in Burkina so you can follow our work on the ground in the communities. Stay Tuned!

This outreach continued and grew as I was requested to build and repair several homes, provide medical aid for those needing medication and hospitalization, and assist with the education of young children. In looking at the issues the people of Africa faced in their daily lives, it became evident that certain items of modern technology, as determined by the local community and villlage Elders themselves, would certainly serve their fundamental needs without compromising their indigenous customs and beliefs. It was in light of this that a vehicle was purchased to provide added productivity and efficiency to benefit the expansion and support of this mission, and another project was undertaken successfully to acquire and buy a small used tractor to assist in growing food for one village. It was at this point that Cultural Bridge Foundation, Inc. was conceived and implemented, and continues to serve communities today.
Thank you for your continued support and for following our story as we grow! More stories to come soon! |
